Soldier At Dawn

By Paul_T
This is an old pic of mine dating back to 2011. It is the statue outside the Royal Marines museum in Southsea, Hampshire. I initially shot this in landscape mode, have now cropped it to portrait, where I think suits it much better.

This is a very good image the silhoutte and exposure are spot on. However, I wondered if it would have more impact with the lamp post removed?

Bill hi many thanks for the comment. I'd never really thought of that before, and I guess it does take the attention away from the main part of the image - which is the silhouette. I'll try and clone it out, and see what it does, but my cloning skills aren't that good, particularly when there's a colour gradient, but I'll give it a go. Thanks again for your input Grin

Naturally the silhouette lacks detail but in this case it adds power and further appeal to an imaginative mind like mine!
