Solva Harbour

By ckristoff
Hello friends,
my first upload for many months.

Went on the Pembrokeshire coastal path, to take this view of Solva harbour.

For first time, I used the AEB function on my camera. I took 3 photos and later combined them in a programme called HDR Darkroom.

Any comments are very welcome. This is only my second attempt, with this technique.

I've never tried AEB myself, but like all things automated I suppose it can be a hit-and-miss. You've got good detail in the hills but the highlights on the water have hardly any detail (or at least that's how it looks on my screen), so I think your camera may have been fooled. Or maybe that was your intention. I like the image anyway - reminds me of an old postcard view.

Hello Ollimar,
all my photography is hit or miss! Smile

I did use a tripod and cable release. I have trouble using manual focussing, so I just let the camera do it.

Perhaps if I used mirror lock-up it may have been better?

Thanks for your comment.
