Some corner of a foreign field

By mrswoolybill
Taken a few years ago, on a centenary tour of the Kaiserschlacht battlefields of spring 1918.
The Remembrance Sunday parade is returning to the town, we'll be busy this morning photographing the event.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

The symbolism of two crosses and poppies shows that those being remembered will never be alone...

Excellent tribute Moira. The memorials don't need to be huge impressive monuments, they just have to be there.

Simple, subtle and beautifully framed. There is something poignant in the way that one cross leans on the other.

Thanks Graham, and it was the angle of the crosses that struck me.
