Some DIY Needed

By lifesnapper
Hi all and a very BIG thanks to Lillian for Her UA on my 'Kefalonia colour', so very much appreciated. A thanks also to all who voted and left kind comments on those images tooSmile
Today, being Silly Sunday, a piece of property that you may wish to view if visiting Assos in Kefalonia. Believe it or not, this and other Buildings that where destroyed in the Earth Quake in 1953, are actually up for Sale, and yes YOU could buy one if you wish Smile I had a good look around the place, but found that the only running Water was the Seasonal Rain, and the Flooring was made up of Vegetation and fresh Air, plus another Floor needed to be added to get a lovely Sea view, so I gave it a miss.

All the best to all,

John Smile

Whew! that was a close one, John! For a moment I was imagining you two would have emigrated by the time we come down to Kent next year!
Fascinating image: possibilities for redevelopment, I suppose, except that everybody's broke at the moment.
Your intro is particularly noteworthy!

Hmmm, yes, can imagine the sales pitch. A well ventilated property with stunning views, in need of some updating...
Interesting to note that they add For sale in English. When some French friends sold an old farmhouse that they owned not far from Calais they included an English sales board because of passing tourist traffic. The locals were apparently mystified, they read it it as fort sale - really dirty...

Certainly a desirable residence...

They say that property prices abroad have hit the roof, this one is going to new heights...

I know what they put in the brochure - "needs some modernisation."

I love it. I love ruins and just think this could be mine for just a few thousand euros. What a status symbol to have a ruin of your very own!

I'd love to view the property. Nothing that couldn't be fixed by a few trips to B&Q. Do you think it might still be on the market next year? Unfortunately I've had my holidays this year. Very well spotted and captured subjecy John. Don.

You can say that again John, you are the master of the understatement! I hope you weren't daft enough to make the Estate Agent an offer he/she couldn't refuse when you were drunk!WinkGrin

Comes across to me as the Greek style of….. Selling a time-share apartment!!

I'm having to watch what I say about Estate Agents with the lady of the house being one.

One not to walk past without taking a shot John
