Someone's Happy!

By Holmewood
Thank you so much for the votes and comments on my last upload.

Don't know why this Dunnock looks cheerful. Me and Stan went up to the hide this afternoon. Don't know why as the weather was awful and cold. But I am really glad we did. We had a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker visit the hide. I could not believe it. Didn't get a picture but I live in hope that it comes back.

I rang the Warden of the Nature Reserve when I got home and he is thrilled. The last time someone spotted one in the woods was in 2007. I just hope it returns.

Have a great evening.

Cathy and Stan

He's a happy looking chap, Cathy, full of the (oncoming) joys of Spring, despite the weather.
I really hope you get that image of the LSW - would indeed be a 'feather in your cap'.
Maybe we could have an image of that cap.
With you wearing it, of course Smile Grin

Outstanding image, Cathy. Great timing & bokeh.
