Somewhere to Perch

By adagio
Many thanks for the votes & comments on my previous upload, with special thanks going to Rich (woodini254), Ian (dales), Ian (iangilmour), Andrew (Acancarter), Richard (estonian), Anne (Snaphappyannie), Bob (KingBee) and Lin (sweetpea62) for the User Awards (PMs sent), all are so very much appreciated.

Sonewhere to Perch, another skeletal tree situated in the lake that isn’t a lake in Clumber Park……..the birds just seem to like perching on it!!

Have a good day.

Angela😀

Marvellous image Angela , think that the birds like the freedom of the view and escape flight unhindered from foliage.

The perfect lookout for an eagle. But then it wouldn't be safe for the baby ducks that arrive in spring.

It's those darn trees again! They do seem to be remarkably resilient! Cracking shot - a gong it is then! 😀😀😀 🏆
(Every time we go there I feel a compulsion to photograph them ... perhaps because lumps keep falling off ... 🤣 ...)

It does make a great perch for the birdies! They do seem to prefer the lower levels though, where they haven't far to go to dip their toes in the water! A lovely capture, Angela, and nicely faffed with too 😃👍🏻

I am intrigued Angela...why is the lake not a lake?

🧐🤔

I believe that the “proper” lake was allowed to flood some years ago, and this is how it was left, hence the trees surrounded by water.

Ahhhh.... I see! I have seen this and wondered why the trees were stood in water. Thank you for the explanation Angela 😄😄
