A beautifully shot portrait.

We had a lecture at our club last year on composition (rule of thirds, that stuff). The guy said by preference to put the main subject on the right third, as we read left to right, & it just looks better. I never understood what he meant at the time, but I think I can here. I find my eye running left to right, & stopping in the space, rather than on your lovely model. Not for long, as it is drawn back, but just trying flipping the shot vertically, to see what you think.

Thank you, have just tried your suggestion and it does make the image stonger, comments like this are why I love this site, I have a BTEC National Diploma in photography and the first year of a degree and a simple compositional rule like this was never mentioned or taught to us, obviously we did learn some things about composition rule of 3rds etc but I learn so much more from people here. Me too. I also get stuff from our club lectures, & occasionally the judges in the competitions will say something that makes sense. Smile
