Well, its time to change model. Here is Sophie.

We had a shoot at New Brighton, weather wasnt the very best it could have been, but it wasnt bad.

Sophie hasnt modelled before, this was her very first shoot, so I was happy to find she took direction very well, and even suggested her own ideas.

You'll see more of her i'm sure.

lovely portrait of attractive lady, not sure it it was the intention but the shadowy part of the features look a little red on my monitor.

Thanks, its hard to comment, im colour blind, lol. I wasnt going for it, and I think this was taken next to the fort wall, which may have reflected some colour back to her face.

Appreciate the comment though, thank you.

Very up close and personal. I like that feel to this. I could look at a lot more shots of Pili too!

There is a colour cast, - know you cant see it but uploaded a mod anyway. I found its heavy in Magenta and Yellow. Also I think a little more light overall would benefit. The darker side of the face is showing a lot of skin detail that can be smoothed just a little bit, - its likely enhanced by both the shadow and the colour.

thanks Willie. I could certainly look at more of Pili too, hopefully getting another shoot with her soon.

As for Sophie, yeah, mod is good, but its a moot point, lol. Cant tell if its right or better or not or what, ha ha.

I'll accept your expert eye on that. Smile

Forgot to mention Anthony, there is no colour profile attached to the image, - should be sRGB for the web, so some viewers may see different colours depending on the browser they are using.

I used the liquify tool to even up the shape of the eyes and to give the mouth a more symmetrical look. The eyebrows were arched slightly. I now use the dodge and burn tools to improve the tones of the skin as normal skin smoothing methods tend to destroy the skin texture if used heavy-handedly.

I brightened the eyes a little and sharpened just the eyes, mouth and hair.

This mod may be a bit late but I've only just seen this photo and I'm currently practicing my retouching skills after seeing a few tutorials.

Regards, Alan.
