Southern hawker - Aeshna cyanea

By Mike_Young
Morning all,
Hope you've had a great weekend.
Thanks to everyone for the visits to my last upload, as always most appreciated.
Today I'm sticking with Dragonflies. This species is very common at this time of year, they are quite a large insect with the male being very colourful having blue on the abdomen. The one pictured is female and kindly landed for a pose, unfortunately in a place where the bg is a bit distracting.
