Everything arranged to perfection Janet, a superb still life with excellent lighting. Remember my Mum had scales like these, I think they were green!

Our kitchen scales were painted pale green, as was just about everything else - I think my father got a job lot of paint.

Hmm, just a bit too much for me Moira lol, I would only use as much as is on the wooden base, a couple of cloves is my limit

The only detail my brain picked up on is the modern pasta jar with the old scales - a container that more matched the age of the scales might work better? But what? I admit to not knowing...
