Spain #49

Now inside the Cathedral of Barcelona....my lead shot looking straight up to an architecturally beautiful ceiling. The versions other images of the interior of the Cathedral.

Corona stil exploding here like perhaps nowhere else in the world. But then, we have "leadership" of a level or autocracy and incompetence (and that is the nicest thing I can say about him....perhaps equaled or topped only by Bolsinaro of Brazil...who claims the corona is not an issue in Brazil. His governors are not in line with him....as our governors are not with our Tyrant.

Take care of yourselves, friends.

Peter

Traditionally, the difference between a leader and a mere manager is the leader's ability to inspire excellence, loyalty and achievement.

We need a new word for some of the people now in charge, because htey do inspireloyalty and achievement. Sadly, always negative. Or maybe we have a word or two - dictator, maybe, and demagogue?

I mistook a small plastic model of 45 for Kennedy. Ability to inspire and womanising are the only common characteristics I can think of, because Kennedy was clever, a statesman, and a war hero, with shrapnel lodged in his spine, if I recall aright. Not perfect, but a man for many more seasons than DT.

I think Boris is cleverer, though he was, I understand, described by an academic at Oxford University as 'the worst scholar Eton has ever sent us'.

There's a current danger that he ends up looking almost competent, as his laziness and lack of interest in detail means that he's letting the experts take the lead. Which is more than can be said for your guy. (Note: British patriotism means that the one time we used to use the word 'Guy' was on 5 November each year, when we burn the effigy of one Guy Fawkes, who was part of a plot to blow up Parliament and the King. Your 'guy' seems to be managing to destroy institutions without gunpowder. Is explosive necessary for actions to be treasonable?
