1940`s Weekend last summer, I had taken my new camera, and was only just learning the basic settings ie: how to switch it on!!
somehow managed to get this close up shot, which I must confess I do like, do you???

So, you are not firing blanks!

It is sharp and well exposed. Technically your shutter speed is slow for that focal length so I wonder, did you support the camera on a bean bag? Good job!

You refer to the ammunition as brass. But you went down the path of mono for the "1940's look". I think colour would suit the subject fine. Colour film became available in 1907, so...

Love this, I believe you have captured the essence of the image, "1940's" very well. The focus on the one empty shell makes a poignant statement about what the image is. Well done on this and gets my vote.
