Spitfire

I was thinking about things that are so iconic that they are identifyable instantly, even when only a part of the overall object is shown. I think the Spitfire qualifies as an inconic bit of design, so here's a bit of Spitfire just to see if the theory holds true.

i went to a large event open air event and a spitfire did threee low runs overhead

it as an engine sound we all seem to know it was good to see and hear.

Where a part is almost as good as a whole! Very iconic of the Spitfire. I think they had Merlin engines?
