Splash of Colour

By KarlC
Exposure: 1/250th, f22, ISO100.
Kit: Canon 7D, Canon 100mm macro, Canon 430ex and 580ex flash units, Manfrotto 190xprob with 410 geared head and a canon remote control lead.
Set up: The water is in a baking tray. The colour is from wrapping paper. I wrapped a large box in the paper and placed it behind the tray of water as a background. The stripped paper is seen as a reflection in the water. The only source of light was from lighting the paper with the two flash guns, off camera. The water droplet was generated manually using a pipette - I found pressing the shutter as soon as the water drop left the pipette gave quite repeatable results.
