Spot the fly

By HobbitDave
I think this is a Cotoneaster shrub, a small tree about 5ft high, freestanding and not trained up against a wall.
Lots of berries this year, and yesterday a little fly as well.
Can you see him?
Why he's called Spot I'm not sure, but hey....if animals can have names why can't flies? Wink
(It's this frosty weather that does it...feel free to groan! Wink

Well spotted, Carol, and yes, I think the birds will be very glad of these berries, there are a lot more than last year. Hope your Swallowtail returns!

Had a good laugh at his name/title! Beautiful berries - I presume they are inedible to humans?

Thanks so much, Lynne, Christina, and Jenny. Lynne, Spot send you his best wishes!
Not sure about the berries, Christina, am pretty sure not edible for humans, but the birds like them. Lots of them this year.

Thanks kindly Peter, and Cathy, hopefully just a prolific Autumn, Peter, not harsh winter. Glad you found Spot, Cathy, he's a very friendly little fly Wink)
