Spotted Flycatcher with Hornet

By teocali
The Spotted Flycatcher pair (Muscicapa striata) nesting in our garden is now stepping up the feeding process and it is fascinating watching them hunting for insects, often only a couple of feet from the ground, then perching before collecting more prey and finally diving into the nest to feed the young. This one has caught a nice fat juicy hornet!

Many thanks for your C&Cs on my last Spotted Flycatcher upload - really appreciated as always Smile
