Spottie Fade-Away

By tonyguitar
These little smartly dressed shore birds often stand stone still and so are not easy to see. When the move, they scurry quickly and then remain still again. Zoom in just after they run a little and then the photo is taken. TG

Excellent detail - is this a little plover of some kind? Beautifully captured, at any rate.

This is simply a beautifully captured image. The focusing is spot on, allowing me to observe the finest of details without obstruction.

Thanks for clicks and comments. And thank you Gazlowe for that colourful badge of honour. I confess not learning anything about awards but suddenly there are some, so I better learn and get generous. There have been so many brilliant and clever images deserving badges I would run out quickly. The comments and sometimes hot debate are most fun for me. TG

a fine shot, lovely detail and colours.
btw exif for manual lenses is usually plain nonsense. For once I wasn't putting my jokes in as I had done so in the title. It is a 600 5.6 , couldn't afford a 600 f4. They come to something like 4-5 months earnings. I just saw there is one like mine for sale on ebay canada... have a look.

Thanks Annette. I shall do that. My big zoom is 300mm with 1.4 TC for just under 500 equiv. TG
