Spring in Bristol

A set of eight images all taken this lunchtime with my new camera in Victoria Park, Bedminister, Bristol. The weather was beautiful and around 20 degrees and the tulips and blossom were in full bloom. I was visiting Bristol for work and this green space is only a few hundred yards from the main city and very close to a railway station, lots of industrial units, and many houses.

What a lovely surprise I got when I opened the first image Edmund, a beautiful array of colour. Excellent colour rendition from the new IXUS 107, a very fine set of images,

A fine selection of colour with your new camera Ed.
I still have my Canon APS film Ixus,and very fine prints it produced too.
And we all know now that the APS film system was only produced as a forerunner to digital !!

Glorious public planting and colour well captured on the IXUS (my trusty 800IS continues to serve me well). I'm not sure if I were the park designer that I would have chosen some of the colour combinations though!

Yes they are certainly bright Mike, I reckon the garden designer was a Bristol City fan as the tulips are in their colours!

Glorious Spring colours. V3 for me as the shadows are less distracting but a nice series.

I don't think Victoria Park will ever look better: absolutely beautiful with all the spring bulbs and blossom out. Very nice set of shots, Ed.

Great collection of colourful spring glory, I love the cherry tree laden with blossom (version 6) A joy to behold after the gloomy winter we have had.
