I have posted many, many images of Hirst Woods in Autumn and Winter but this one is all about the complete transformation that Spring has brought about. Spring is my favourite season. I love the livid greens, the fresh new leaves, the succession of flowers that you can see here. The greens weren't that livid immediately prior to the hail storm that hit us during this photo shoot but that is part of the fascination of photography, observing the transformational effect of different lighting conditions.
Ansel placed himself in several of these shots which is fine. His presence proves that these shots really are mine.
