Spurn Point dawn this morning
A 1:30am alarm call and a 2:15am departure was not ideal, arrived at Spurn Point around 4:45am, had a brew and got kitted up for the walk.
Used headtorches as it was very dark and only the moon to help us, a 3 mile walk (some on very soft sand) saw us arrive at the lighthouse just before 6am for some blue hour shots, the Moonlight put paid to that casting shadows that we not ideal so we had to wait for the sun to light up the scene for us.
It was a nice sunrise and we got some nice shots, although I got my wellies full of water whilst in the waves searching out the best angles, it made for a cold and uncomfortable walk back. The lighter coloured sand is actually a dusting of morning frost.
Hard work but definitely worth it.
