Spurn anchor

By helenlinda
Thanks for C&C for my two recent images using the weed I dug up in the garden - nothing is ever wasted !!
This was taken at Spurn last summer. It is the anchor on the boat hooked up to the tractor , and I managed to frame the lighthouse within the composition.

v1 I've added a textured layer of the rust on the tractor
v2 a more blurred edition of v1
v3 the finished image before the layers
v4 the rust!!!
Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a good week
Helen

Very well composed Helen, think V1 for me and of course the wonderfully abstract rust of V4! Super creativity.

Creative work Helen. No. 4 would stand on its own as a strong abstract.

V1 for me, an unusual but very effective viewpoint....I like the high-key treatment, with a touch of texture....well done.

V1 works perfectly for me. V3 is an interesting composition but a bit busy - somehow the lightening and texture in V1 give it a more spacious, airy feel. Well that's how it works for me.

Delighted to see you have not neglected rust in your manips' Helen .The RAS handbook is getting thicker as time goes by.We now have a Manipulation section !! We will soon have more sections than there are political parties. On second thoughts, that could be a bad thing. You would all want to throw out the Scots guy !!

Its funny but I've had v3 prepared for a very long time, but felt somehow it wasn't worth an upload in its own right - seemed too complicated a composition, but some of you obviously like it. Many thanks for all your comments - really appreciated
