'Squall at St Bees'

By Billlee
During a recent trip to Cumbria I visited St Bees, and had the intention of walking the cliff path to the lighthouse, halfway there this squall came in from the sea at a frightening speed, took some hasty shots and tried to get gack to shelter, but there wasn't any..............Just hope the thorough soaking was worth it for this image?????????????????

It definately was Bill. Nice foreground and superbly exposed and angry sky. Deserves more interest.

Hope that you had a good time and it's nice to see you back sir.

Looks like those "storm chaser" shots of tornadoes that they keep putting on Ch5. Good foreground, the slight blurring of the leaves gives the impression of the wind picking up.

You have done well to take such a dramatic, but pleasing picture in those conditions,

Yes, worth it for me, Bill. I've been to St Bees just once myself and it was really wild then too.
