St. Aloysius

By moiral
Afternoon everyone, another day finished at work.
During my short trip to Glasgow, my Dad asked to be taken to the chapel where he did his first communion. This is St. Aloysius Chapel. I do not recall ever having been there, although he says I have been. From the outside, the chapel is difficult to capture due to it being on a narrow street, and having such a big tower. Inside is absolutely beautiful. However as there was someone sitting in the chapel, I did not like to be intrusive with a camera. Got off a few quick shots.
V1 exterior of the building, actually managed to clone out a piece of a car in this shot Smile
V2 Crucifix - quite a dark shot as did not wish to use flash. Have applied some lighting in pse6
V3 Large dome, which my Dad called the Cupola. This was the best shot I could get of it as did not want to stand directly underneath due to the person in the chapel.
Many thanks for C&Cs on the seal. Special thanks to Len for your lovely pm, hope you have good running shoes Wink

Moira those are lovely shots, V2 is something else the way you've caught the light on the crucifix, very special. V3 the detail is excellent along with super colour.
PS the running shoes are ordered.

A very pleasing chapel, Moira, and what a wonderful dome inside, very well captured under awkward circumstances. Carol

Great set Moira - with wonderful details
V1 - I'm very impressed by the perspective of the building - unfortunately, the sky is so white and unexpressive with no clouds for a litlle drama.
V2 - is excellent composed - lovely details and remarcable lighting
V3 - La Cupola is very nice captured - lovely painded - and you hava a very good ideea with the angle of shooting.

Regards, Daniel
