St. Michael de Rupe

By BlueRoom
St Michael de Rupe or St Michael on the Rock, the church itself which was sneakily hiding just out of shot in my last post. There are not many places to get a close shot of the building as the ground falls away sharply or vertically on all sides of the very small churchyard.
As before V2 is here to provide context. It stands out well from a distance which is a help when you are trying to find it, though due to the windy lanes, not quite as much as you might think.

A bleak place for a church but a light in the window would help travellers to find their way.

Those trees are wonderful .As if the weather's trying to steal them but they're determined not to go.

Like v1, sharp and clear, like the tree trying to blow away---

but that is a very long walk in v2..
