Quadtone coversion of a colour image. The bench is in the churchyard of St Clements, West Thurrock, Essex.
I'm no expert (in fac tthe opposite) in BW, or technical or chemically things like quadtone and all that, so apart from to say that it has a loomimg atmospheric feel to it, i'll just comment on the subject matter as i see it. You title it "st Clement's church" but I only see a bench. Looking harder, I see a few gravestones behind. So I just think compositionally if you're looking to get the feel of a bench in an old churchyard and all the emotions and atmosphere that might conjure up, you need to make the setting more obvious - more churchyard than bench..
Hope that's at least some help
I like this picture. It is beautiful and simple.
Good point about the titla Tooth.
