St Michaelís Mount

By blohum
Finally I can show the first image from my recent photography workshop; my PC has not been happy recently and finally gave up completely (it was seven-years-old so I guess I canít complain too much!) so new components have now arrived and Iíve managed to find the time to rebuild and get Lightroom and Photoshop installed, so far the only loss is a couple of weeks of Lightroom updates which is not too bad in the grand scheme of things...On the day we started in at St. Michaelís Mount and we tried to find some alternative views from this famous locationÖ it was low tide when we arrived which of course meant lots of people walking across the causeway (the natural lead-in line) but scoping out the rock-pools we noticed there was a nice reflection on offer. Most of the pools were too small but venturing a bit further we found this large pool which included some nice seaweed which I decided to use as the foreground interest in my shot...As the seaweed is so close I merged two shots to get front-to-back focus, one focused on the seaweed, and one focussed on the mount itself, the clear water in the middle making merging the shots quite simple.

Like the low pov and the composition with the seaweed in the foreground.
