Stack of stones

By redstag
I have often heard about the strange formations seen by other Togs around the coast of Britain. I saw the shots they posted of these structures, and did not believe they could be real, until I visited Brighton beach at the end of last year.
It has taken me a while to pluck up the courage to post this image, lest I be subjected to ridicule or worse still of staging the shot!
The questions raised by this image may never be answered, such as where do these stacks come from? who places them here? is it a tangible sign of alien activity? or am I suffering from some sort of birthday induced madness?

At the age of 42 (that significant number) I feel able to ask these life the universe and everything type questions. The truth is out there.

Jon

Great image. I live in Brighton and can confirm that it is a magical place where "aliens" can sometimes be seen doing strange things on the beach Smile

At least youre not 29! (ASK NICK) this is unusual and the top stone looks as if it's a snake head covered in snakeskin, maybe that's a clue to your dilemma.

You know you it's not necessarily to do with age (I know whereof I speak) however people do often start seeing things when they're stoned!! lol
Good textures that man.

An Exelent image and I like the textures in the Stones.
This reminds me of the Boulder Stone in the Laake district that is precariously balanced on its Edge and will rock in the wind but as yet it has never fallen over. They are usualy carried on Glaciers during the Ice Age. As the Griver of Ice melted thes setlled down to become the curiosities they now are.

A Mine of Usless information.

Awesome shot both in colour and black and white. If posting this shot comes from birthday induced madness, then bring it on!

Great find Jon, they are an unusual sight these self stackers as they are known as, in the same realm as crop circles.
