Stalker Castle

By AnneB50
I don't usually go for creative stuff with landscapes, preferring the natural beauty of the scene as I see it. However this was a particularly grim day and we only went out to have a break and a breath of fresh air. The rain was relentless and I had given up with the SLR when I caught a glimpse of the castle framed by the last remaining rosehips so took a few shots with my little compact. This was one of the few images where I didn't get raindrops on the lens and I played around in Colour Efex Pro to get something a little more interesting and colourful. From my Glencoe workshop with Colin Prior.

This is beautifully done. I like the way the rose bush frames this....most extraordinary.

Agree the framing of the branch makes this.

EXcellent shot with beautiful framing.

The framing is too make audience attention attracted into it.............not into the castle it self..........the appreture is not deep enough then you loss the blue color of sky .....a bit blurr since the speed it too slow......... best Rgds WIMPY.

Very clever, I do like to see something different, something that challenges the brain, that works because you thought outside of the box. I tried to see it without the rose hips, and it really didn't have the same impact.

Thank you all. WimpyIskandar is right of course, technically it is not a great picture but I just wanted to try to retrieve something from a bad lot. And it was fun experimenting!!!
