Many years ago, in a former life, I worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants in Hexham, dealing largely with the farming community. I remember that a local family trust, with aristocratic connections, was taken over by a London firm. We started receiving a lot of puzzled enquiries from them, including 'Who are Mr Hogg and Mr Tups who keep appearing in the books?'
