Standing tall

By Lillian
Young calf standing tall as mum was just behind
him/her keeping an eye out.
Version ... with Mum
Taken last week

So good for the Red Deer and the Fallow as there is a new law
out at the park during calving that dogs have to stay on leads
there are so many good dog owners that know their dogs will return to a call
then there are other's that think .. what the hell!
For first time in years the deer are relaxed

Small Rant over!

Hope again you will enjoy this youngster

Lillian

I do like the way you've composed this image, Lillian giving the feel of open space around your subject.
Great to see such a relaxed animal and as you say: Standing tall.

Two excellent captures, Lillian.
We have deer in the forest in Pollok Country Park although I very seldom ever see them.
But for the first time ever, rangers have posted notices about dogs attacking the deer and advising the dogs should be kept on the lead there.
As usual, many don't seem to bother taking noice.

Fortunately here in both Royal parks it is law and instant fines and asked to leave they have wardens on duty, so lovely to see the deer relaxed with their young
