One of the main paths going through Standish woods near Stonehouse in Gloucestershire. This shot was taken two years ago when I walked from Edge and across Haresfield Beacon to view the spectacular display of bluebells that were there at the time.

ooooh, Wood White territory
Did you put the camera on a tripod, set the timer and walk off down the footpath, Ed?
The red coat of the walker is perfect, love the format and composition too.
A perfect splash of red. Looks like a lovely walk you captured here.
Fantastic capture,ED,well done,
Nice comp' Ed, surprised you havn't uploaded this before.
In Standish woods Ade?, I've never seen them there. I know they can be found in the woodland near to the garage at Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean and also close to the Biblins campsite at Symonds Yat, I didn't think they were present anywhere else in Gloucestershire.
One of your best "local landscapes", Ed, beautifully composed with the view down that verdant tunnel and with the red jacketed walker at precisely the optimum position.
A shot I'd have been so pleased with were it my own.
Hi Ed, great shot, but I feel the walker detracts from the image. I removed the man in the shot in Photoshop, so I hope you like it.
Fantastic tones and a splendid comp, a super image Ed.
Red waterproofs - God's gift to photography...
looks a great place to walk-- and to have made this wonderful image!
Red jacket is a superb contrast to those lovely fresh greens Ed. Lovely shot.
Don't like that mod at all.
Awsome capture with excellent colors.
brilliant capture.. lovely light and colours
if i tried a shot like that, my luck the person would turn round and catch me
I'm sure they'd be gone like a bat out of hell if they spotted you and saw how big and scary you are!
Top shot very well done.........
lovely shot, the person in the red coat makes this special
Yes Ed,you need little Red Riding Hood here.
Oops sorry,wrong wood !!
A top vista shot Ed ...Bill
I can't believe that Puertouk thought it a good idea to do a mod removing the walker Ed, as most comments show he is a gift to any photographer in such a scene as you have captured and shown so well here!
Leave it alone Ed ,better with him in.
So bright and lush! Beautiful deep shot too, Ed, and the walker in the red coat really adds to this. Excellent timing
Looks like red riding hood territory to me.. Great lead in with the red splash!
Spot on Ed.
A fine composition.
Excellent shot Ed. I love the wonderful pure green that we get in the spring and early summer.
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
