Superb shot of a very difficult subject. I have never yet managed to obtain what I felt was a satisfactory shot of this elusive fall.

Best wishes,
George.

Well I think it is a beautiful and a excellent tranquil shot, your colors are well captured and the flow of the water is done superbly, I really like it! Spot on! Click!!!

Death by compression? Well, I think there is still a heartbeat! I can tell that this one is hard to get just right. Good to include the lower water action and give it perspective.

Thank you chaps! Smile

Before anyone points it out, I now feel I should have cropped a wee bit from the bottom to get rid of the little rocks poking from the bottom of the frame. It's the dreaded 95% (or whatever it is) viewfinder coverage I'm afraid!

I had to take this one pretty quickly and this was the only usable image I got, because of spray from the falls. I tried to wipe the lens and protect it prior to the shot, but all I got was lens flare after this one.

Still, I've looked at other shots of this falls on the Alamy site, and I'm pretty pleased with this one in comparison. Smile

All the best

Great shot. I've just read the comments about cropping the bottom. I must admiot that I hadn't noticed the small rocks, what caught my eye was the water exiting the picture through the bottom right hand corner. After I'd seen it I couldn't help looking at it, and my eye was dragged to that part of the image.
Could I suggest cropping up to just below the mossy rock on the lower right hand side.
Maybe I'm being picky, but I think it would improve this gorgeous picture.

Beautiful silky water, Pete. I see what you mean by the wee rocks, but they don't bother me at all.

I think you have done very well to hold the detail thru the shot with such a latge difference of light and texture. The loss on web is probably huge but we cant see the original.
Great shot Pete.

Nice shot but I feel you should have cropped a wee bit from the bottom to get rid of the little rocks poking from the bottom of the frame, Pete ;0)

Hmmmmm can't decide about this it looks like a crop from a larger pic with bits of rocks coming in from the bottom and sides, perhaps you should have cropped a wee bit from the bottom to get rid of the little rocks poking from the bottom of the frame.
