So, about a month ago I went with two friends from my camera club to Tenerife for 8 nights for some astro-photography. Whilst I knew what we were supposed to be doing, in practice it wasn't as easy as I thought

Surprising how difficult it is to get stars in focus - not just a matter of setting your lens to infinity.
This shot is a composite, the foreground of the girls looking up to the sky was shot at dusk near the Roques de Garcia in Teide National Park whilst the night sky with the milky way was taken in the same vicinity several hours later. I used a Kase 'Alyn Wallace' Starglow filter to enhance the stars...
