What amazing and wonderful capture, very well done,
Almost like a cloud of locusts in some African travel film, far from Northumberland and the surprisingly warm looking sky, just for you Danny.

A stunning shot Danny.
Puts me in mind of Brian Hanrahan's famous quote during the Falklands war,
''I counted them all out,and counted them back in''
But I don't suppose you did that though !!

Amazing, you've caught the way they seem to combine into a single force with a single mind.

Just seen your comment about being sold for scrap.
There is a big rise in Edinburgh with the metal gates on peoples gardens,
being pinched and sold for scrap !!

Wow! They are taking over the sky. Starlings in motion, beautiful..............Sandy

Fantastic sight and captured so well with the sunset. One year they were very obliging and I used to watch them from the bedroom window - pity I wasn't into potography then.Sad

Absolutely stunning!!!
A fantastic murmuration of Starlings Dan, like the motion blur of the birds against the colour of the sky. I remember seeing many of these displays as a young lad but it now has been some years since i seen one. Its not surprising due to Starlings becoming an endangered species in the UK.
