Well it was at the turn of the 20th C. At least you didn't have problems with viruses, crashing etc - just the keys locking if you pressed a weird combination. I can remember my Mum using one not too different from this in the late 50s.

Remember being taught to type on a manual typewriter to the tune of the William Tell overture great image.
This brings back memories, I used one of these typewriters in my first office job.
