Same location as last uploading. Very difficult one for me. HDR doesn't work, because of the tree, it might be a bit windy. This is three bracketing photos were put together with layer mask. Mostly -2 and +2 stops were used, only the middle part of the leaves were 0 stop. The front figure were brightened up with screen layer, perhaps it's still a bit dark. Turned it into B&W on V2. Thanks for looking, all comments and criticisms are welcome.

Had a little play Isabel, nothing to drastic "I think", however after comparing the two I am rather wish I hadn't....

V2 works better for me, it's cooler, better balanced, it avoids distractions.
I'm glad you didn't brighten the foreground sculptures any further, the effect here is subtle and understated.
The main interest for me is the composition, the relationship that it creates between the two pairs of figures. The foreground lady seems to be looking over her shoulder in curiosity at the other couple, who appear to be having an almighty row!

Thank you Moira for the point. Yes, sort of "seeing" the life , the angel and the man, the woman who was reading .. as what we are here today.... these statues stayed there for hundreds of years... Where will I be in another hundred year?Grin They will be still here, will somebody else there doing something?
Thank you all.

This time the mono works better, it takes out the distracting colour of the leaves and leaves us to concentrate on the statues.

Both quite nice but this tije the mono has the edge. More interesting tones. Might just run the burnong in tool over a couple of brighter areas in the background.

A well seen composition.
