Steel Stairs

By NDODS
Good day to you at ePz.

As you will be able to tell from the time of upload I have had a rather torrid night, and instead of disturbing Julie's sleep I decided to catch up and upload.

I must thank you all for you great comments and votes following yesterdays uploas 'Egrets in the Mist'. A following mention going to young James (JamesMoorePhotography) for presenting me with his User Award.

Today's upload is in keeping with yesterdays upload in that it is monochrome, and that the weather was somewhat inclement. The reasoning behind the image, was quite simplky I liked the way that the strong geometrical shapes and lines wormed their way through the rugged hillside.

I hope that you all have a great day. For me who knows, maybe a quiet affair..

Regards as always Nathan GrinGrinGrin

Love the subject and I think mono is a good choice but I would prefer more contrast to add to the dramatic geometry.

Nice one. You have the handrail starting from the corner top left, I'd be inclined to crop a sliver off the bottom of the frame to have the lower rail exit into the bottom right corner.
And I would like to see more contrast. OK, I'm hard to please...

Hi Nathan
This is such a nice simple B+W image, I agree with Moira that the hand rail ending at the bottom corner is a better crop in my opinion I also notice a slight slant on the level steps so a quick adjust with the straightening tool seems to give it a good geometric corner to corner. (I tried it first and I think it looks good)

Nice work Erik

ps the readers award tells it all so my suggestions are just that take care Erik
