Steps, sun and a drystone wall

By Kaxxie
Morning everyone, happy Saturday

Weíre back at Wisley today. Venice, Wisley, all this travelling is so tiring. 😉 I was aiming for Saturday shadows but itís more Saturday shade. You have to really look to see a shadow. I love drystone walls. I find this one particularly attractive with the Erigeron cascading down the steps. I wanted a couple of small drystone walls for raised beds in my garden. It wasnít only going to cost an arm and a leg. It was going to cost two arms and two legs so I opted for garden sleepers instead. Wise choice as there are so many plants cascading down you can hardly see the wooden sleepers! 😉 V1 is a continuation of the drystone wall. I love the way the plants are growing in the wall.

Thank you all so much for your votes and comments on yesterdayís image and Rich and Alan for your UAs. I really do appreciate them all. Ivor thank you for taking the time to do a mod. I love it.

Take care everyone

Karen

Beautiful Karen; love both of them. I'm off to Wisely asap. Only trouble was that last time in Sept when I was there it could take nearly an hour getting a drink. Note to self. Take a flask next time.

Wow! Iíve never had to wait that long for a drink or a bacon bun. 😉 Youíll have to remember a flask. I took a mug a few times. It was meant to be water tight but it wasnít. It was more trouble than it was worth. Iíve got tickets for next Saturday but itíll be a path only route so Iíll miss the magnolia & camellia trail. Enjoy your trip. Looking forward to seeing you images.

Itís fabulous Richard. There are so many different areas all with a lot interest. If you like plants & trees of course. Iíve taken some friends who donít look at anything & are just out for a walk and others, like me, when itís half a dozen steps then peering at plants to find out what they are. 🤣🤣🤣

I like both of them, especially the alternative version. I had a rock wall in my previous garden, but they were cemented together, however, we left openings in the wall for planting. The rock garden plants were cascading down the wall, when we left the house, for pastures new!

Like them both but really drawn to the version. All that lovely detail in the stone wall.

(If you send another reply to "Hummer - pm" I accidentally deleted it fumbling around this morning before my first sip of coffee.)

Hi Lillian

Itís only about 20minutes from me too. Theyíve been having trouble with their booking system and are upgrading at the moment. Iíve managed to get tickets for next Saturday but I could only get a 3pm time!

Take care
