By climbing_orchid
A shot of one of my Valentines roses - I'm surprised they are still going!!

Still getting to grips with my new camera so your comments would be very much appreciated

Like your presentation, but not sure were the focus point on the rose is even looking large. You may have a bit of camera shake or used the wrong aperture but there again it may be just my eyes lol

Lovely presentation. This kind of shot is so much better with a macro lens, and as you like flowers so much (and shoot them so well), this should be on your list of accessories to buy ASAP!

Soft focus is fine but I find reds a pest to get right and so de saturate to something less intense. Head on is always worth trying but better when tonal range is broader
