Still Life Skull

By cattyal
I really can't come up with decent titles for these pictures Smile

Anyway tonight I decided to experiment with an old lightbox that hasn't been used for yonks - I placed it on a light stand to the left and then used a small mirror to reflect a bit of light onto the top of the skull.

A texture layer has been added to muck up the background a bit - I'll pop up the version without the texture as well.

That's about it this time - no Topaz Adjust for a change Smile

That is one step up from a maggot crawling out of the eye

I couldn't find any decent bugs so thought the hedgehog leg would do nicely Smile
Alison again a superb still life which I could look at for ages. Smile

Ragged old volumes, time piece and specs orchestrate well together. Super! TG

The texture works, so does the forearm in the socket!

Great Alison...I love both versions but perhaps v1 a little more than v2 Grin

I was just about to ask what that was!!

V1 for me.

Dave

Ps that skull is rather too realistic ( it's not a previous house visitor is it?), or have you copied me and visited the local boneyard at night with mask and shovel? Wink

Great props Alison & nice lighting too.
I do prefer the warmer tones of V1.

Thanks everyone - sorry I'm late - it's been a busy few days!

I've yet more props to play with - now to find the time to use them!

The local boneyard is too far away for me to visit at night solo Dave - next time you're down this way we can have an outing!
