Still Never Mind the View

Following on from Never Mind the View this is the view from the very end of the cliff above V1, taken through the gaps in a wire fence.
It was a sweltering hot day and there was a big band of cloud hung over the mainland.
I favour the lead image over the actual view taken from the searchlight, and I have not got one of the front of the searchlight as I was too eager to photograph the tunnels 🙄
There is another of the tunnels in the versions and a view of the guns at the top.
I hope you like the set, I have another couple of the tunnels maybe for a later date.
Edit: Something I forgot to mention, In V4, the building at the back of the image, a small concrete box shape slightly to the side, is the entrance to the spiral staircase that takes you to the tunnel.

A fine view looking out to sea in the lead, Diane (and V2) 😃👍🏻 Loving the versions, especially the tunnel in V3. Such a shame our coach driver didn't take us here on my last holiday to the IOW 😳 I mean, how can you not visit the Needles on a holiday there? 😬 Thanks for showing what I've missed 👍🏻

Despite having been to the IOW innumerable times, I never got to the Needles. Something I see now was a mistake as there is more history there than I was aware of.
