I really like the tones in this but actually think it works better without the shore in the foreground. Getting rid of that increases the minimalist feel and also moves the boat away from the middle of the frame.

you might have to go back at High Tide GrinGrin

Quite like the `low-tide' effect, but would be interesting to see fg fully submerged Smile

Thanks Jeff! Let me think - 4 1/2 hours to Calais, Shuttle 1 1/2 hours max then, say 2 1/2 hours to Essex. Nah, I would probably miss teh tide (again!). It can wait till next time!

Well, I took your suggestion which also allowed my to use 6:6 format which I really like. Its interesting. Including the shoreline for me grounds the shot (excuse the pun!) but the variation is a quite different photo and I really dont know which I prefer! Many thanks for the suggestion though, it was well received!
