Oh, wow, brilliant stuff. Glad you and the camera survived to snap another day. I like the posts just visable in the spray.

Bumping up the ISO to get a usable shutter speed (just!) has added digital noise which I think adds to the murk and atmosphere of the shot.
I was always told you should avoid triangles in the corner of your picture and I think cropping away the pavement bottom right, which is the point of softest focus would add to the strength of the picture by emphasising the S shape of the wave from left to top.
Keep it up!.

Hi Robin - Helensburgh is a small town on the west coast of Scotland just west of Glasgow. It was brilliant out this morning, but then I love the windy weather. High tide made the pier just about under water - hubby, eldest son and myself went for a mad run down the pier this evening dodging the waves, gale force winds and spray, great fun!!!!!

Woooooow. The lampposts make this into an extraordinary picture. Excellent exposure, not just for the movement of the water but for those wonderful whites and blues. This works almost as a monochrome. Spot on. If I were editor here... At least I can give you 30. Regards, Bert
