Stormy weather

By TrevBatWCC
Taken about 5 hours after my previous upload, the weather had taken a turn for the worse Sad I shot this from my hotel room, on the West Cliff top, but rather than put the camera lens right up to the glass I shot it from a few inches away so I could show the raindrops on the window.
It had started to get very blustery when I photographed Charlotte The Charabanc , and though it looked quite calm at the time, the strong wind was whipping up sand from the beach and depositing it where I had been stood.
As it was approaching high tide here in this image, it was whipping the sea up into a froth, and when I went out for my evening meal, the area behind where Charlotte had been parked was covered in a creamy-white foam, and part of the road behind where I had been stood was covered in sand!
A big thanks to Big_Beavis (David Bateman) for his UA on my previous upload, Charlotte The Charabanc Smile

I do like the raindrops on the glass. I think we've all gazed out of hotel windows during a rainshower, wondering when it was going to brighten up again. An ordinary image, yet conveying an immediately-recogniseable feeling. I like this a lot.

I am just a fair weather photographer Trev,
and proof here I really should get my camera out in the bad weather,
and take a pic through the pub window !!
Good shot.

Fantastic image Trev, it sums up the down side of the British seaside holiday perfectly. I doubt if you will be able to sell it to the postcard manufacturers though!

That's the best place to be in Whitby when the weather is like that, Trev - indoors!
An extremely descriptive photograph full of little details. Some of the sea looks as if it's boiling. . .
