Street of Uppingham 5 -School.

By xwang
I took this photo through the school gate(V2). I was a bit nervous taking photos around the school area,it seemed that the students had just finished their morning lessons and come out of the street...I didn't want them mistakenly think that I was taking photos of them. I did a quick snap while I was passing by. Since the light contrast was very strong, so most part of the building was severely underexposed. I tried it on PS, but not very successful, the building was with colour noise. Gave a try on B&W... Thanks for looking.
BTW, Stephen Fry studied here, and was expelled from this school when he was 15.

Like the others I prefer the monos. I usually prefer color but you have a way with black and white that really brings out the contrasts.
Three wonderful images, Jasmine. I think today the monos are the winnersSmileSmileSmile

For me too the B and W versions carry the greater impact, and my overall favourite is V 2.

Thank you all for your kind comments and support, a bit overwhelming...I thought the I'd totally failed the photo when I looked at it on the screen with regret, I thought that should have taken 3 bracketing ones, and taken it more carefully....
