Strip Lighting

By almiles
Sunset at Loch Garten. Not as much FG interest about as I'd have liked (maybe the RSPB remove such as a danger to swooping osprey?Wink ) but you can't have everything and the light was certainly pretty special. I used a longer focal length to make more of the submerged branch.

The light and colours are quite spectacular, Alan, and with the exact reflections you have a symmetrical banding effect, and although there is little f/g detail, what there is is so precisely positioned.
Beautiful image.

The branch, it's reflection and the beautiful colours make this image Alan. A close up of the branch and it's reflection surrounded by the golden tones would have made for a nice minimalist shot as well, have a great day Smile

Funnily enough that was the next image I shot Jeremy; it's already parked as tomorrow's upload! Hope you have a good day too Smile

Strip lighting? Thought you still used candles GrinGrin

A wonderful layer cake of colours, Al, and the sharp branch is an excellent counterpoint to the smoothness.

Cheers Dave. You are mistaken though, we've moved on from candles to gas lighting up here now Wink

The bands of colour accentuated by the shadowy layer in the centre.
