I rather like the drab colours the way they are, because to me that's very typical of a grey, rainy day 
The one bit I'm really struggling with personally is the fact that it's two people, and not just the one. Because the person in front is pretty much smack bang in line with the one behind, there's very little for the eye to go on other than the odd bit of different colour brolly, the odd bit of leg and that odd foot to the right of the one behind
So as well as a small crop from the right hand side inwards, and a (minor) tweak in midtone levels, I've cloned evidence of the person in front out completely. To me, now, it's less ambiguous and that 'solitary' figure gives the whole image a different sense of loneliness and isolation.
