Strudel

By RachelMB
I made my first strudel today Grin We had Mum and Dad around for Sunday Roast and this was our dessert - apple, pear and banana cinnamon strudel. Smile It was rather tasty, even if I do say so myself.

We had it warm with ice cream, so I quickly grabbed a couple of photos before serving it. I might try and get some shots of the leftover slices before they get eaten Wink It's on my fancy new plate (which are lovely, don't listen to what KarenFB says! Tongue).

Narrow aperture used to keep the focus on the main part of the strudel. And no, I did not use a tripod. (I will later, but I was serving it up for guests at the time! Lol. "Please wait 10 minutes while I photograph your dessert" Wink)

Let me know what you think! Constructive critique always appreciated.

Considering the lighting (one small window to the left) and the fact I stood there waiting for dessert, this is a good photo - it shows the delicate filo pastry and the wonderful warm fruits brilliantly................the ice cream's sweetness setting of the tartness of the...............sorry, I digress!

P.S. The plates were revolting - old fashioned flowers (very thoughtful Christmas present to me from younger sister).
