Minimal editing to this, but I did try to give it a bit more punch, by using layers akin to the methods discussed in the Dragan style. While the 'Dragan' look is quite extreme, I'm trying to use the techniques learnt there to give a bit more of a subtle enhancement to portraits.

I did have a fiddle with channel mixer to try a B&W version, but I find it really hard to get the contrasty look I like.

I have just seen Ade McFade's portrait in the gallery so tried his technique with this portrait as a modification - though I am a bit wary about using blue channel on people - my cousin might not find it very flattering! (Personally I like to see skin texture and detail, though I don't know if I would dare post a selfportrait in blue channel!)

Excellent portrait and works well in colour too Sus. Particularly like the positioning in the frame too!

The treatment certainly give a rugged look without being too harsh. A very strong portrait. Well done. Bruce
