Study of a Long-tailed tit

By DaveNewbury
Long-tailed tit (Aegithalos caudatus) a beautiful and easily recognisable tit with its distinctive colouring, a tail which is bigger than its body.
Gregarious and noisy residents, long-tailed tits are most usually noticed in smtall, excitable flocks of about 20 birds.
Their main diet consists of insects they can often be found hanging upside down and feeding on the underside of leaves and branches.
Thanks for the GEA, your User awards and the many C's & V's all greatly appreciated.

Dave, these are the kind of bird shots that when I'm blessed with one, I get on my knees and thank the birding gods, and I'm an atheist. This shot is so worthy of some PP to eliminate BG clutter that it's impossible to capture SOOC. Isolating the subject and Gaussian blurring the BG to eliminate the twig in front of the subject and everything else except the twig it's perched on, would, in my opinion, make it really pop. I hope you agree, If not, It's still a stunning shot.

Hi Aeros
I do agree the background could be improved, but for this type of gallery shot I try to stick to the the image, as taken other than cropping and adjusting the raw image.
Thanks for you comments
